tis the season, already?

Wearing:
Zara Coat
ModCloth Pumps
Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag

Today, while running errands, I discovered that Christmas decorations are already in store. I am a sucker for a beautifully sparkly holiday display so before I knew it I was scouring the isles planning how to decorate our place this year. It's not even November and I am already excited for Christmas thanks to clever in store marketing. Now that I think about it, it's probably not a bad idea to start planning my holiday activities two months in advance because of how quickly time seems to get away from me. I almost tried to buy a couple Lindt advent calendars but a wise person reminded me that I would have to wait a month before indulging and suddenly the idea didn't seem like a good one. Or I could buy an advent calendar now and use it as a daily chocolatey countdown until I can dig into my real advent calendar in December.... I'm a genius.

A few other ways I've worn this jacket & dress

  1. I went to winners this weekend and noticed how much holiday decor was already out! It's a little crazy, but also makes me a little bit giddy & excited inside. And I may or may not have tried on a dress I don't need for any other purpose than holiday parties... sequins are screaming my name! This is such a cute coat! Love the buttons!

  2. Loving the navy/black combo! How adorable is the detailing on that dress too! Gorgeous!

It's not a bad idea planning your Christmas in advance - that's what I've done this year and so far things seem to be running smoothly! I can't wait to get a little tree in my living room, but other than that, I don't decorate too much. The boy doesn't share my enthusiasm on decorations!

  3. I love this combo of navy and black! Also I love Christmas decorating so I don't blame you in the slightest! My boyfriend and I are never home for Christmas though so it's hard to go hardcore decorating! Still fun though! xx

  4. I love how simple and unfussy your style is.

As for Christmas, I'm already stalking the Chapters Indigo holiday merch.

  5. I have not been to any stores lately so I haven't seen the holiday decorations but I would have been as surprised! This year just flew by but then again that seems to happen every year =)
