I recently chatted with a reader about tights. When it's okay to start wearing them, what colours to wear etc. I personally don't follow very many style rules so I doubt I was very much help but I do love tights. I've experimented with coloured tights, different textures and patterns over the years but now I just love a good pair of classic black. I bought a pair of knitted black tights when I was in Seattle recently and I adore (and I mean deeply love) black fleece lined tights, but that's as far as from regular black tights as I've gotten so far this year.
Maybe I'll get a little crazy and buy a charcoal pair. I'm so wild. What colours/textures/patterns are you planning on wearing this year? Tights are just such an easy (and inexpensive) way to add variety, detail and visual interest to an outfit in the colder months.

Being in Eastern Canada I'm big on tights! My go to's are definitely black, navy and chocolate. But I also love black sheer tights with integrated designs. Like the Intricately Exquisite & Noir We're Talking tights from Mod Cloth. Nude sheer with a black design are also cute (and good to wear when your dress feels 'heavy'. I've also been known to rock a pair of opaque cream tights with black hearts on them.

ReplyDeleteI love tights too. Black opaque are my most-worn but I also love a good subtle pattern. I have a grey animal print pair from Joe Fresh that I adore. I have a textured brown pair (have no idea where I got them) opaque red and purple from Jacob, and teal from Joe Fresh as well.

I love your outfit! I am not a fan of tights, but because I live in Toronto, I do wear them for the majority of the year. I actually WANT to wear tights, now that I've seen this post.

DeleteI don't know a ton about Oasap but so far they've been a great company to work with. The dresses have come very quickly and the quality hasn't disappointed. I have noticed they have quite the variety as far as their clothing goes so I don't know how everything would be but the few pieces I've received are pieces I would have had no problem purchasing.
