6 Delicious Dishes for your next Pot-Luck

Potlucks are very popular during the holidays and as an overthinking people pleaser I have a difficult time deciding on dishes to serve to large groups. We just attended one and I ended up just bringing brownies from the grocery store because I didn't plan my time well and then I PANICKED. I can't say I'm great at trying new recipes in general so I would never want to try risk trying a new recipe right before a holiday event. I decided to ask some of my favourite ladies what their go-to potluck dish recipes are so we can all steal shamelessly. It's a lot less intimidating to try a recipe you know someone else loves! Enjoy!

My favourite dish is a Vegan Stuffing with Squash, Apples and Brussel Sprouts. I've been making it for years and it's always a hit. Plus love sharing my passion for meat free dishes and how delicious going vegan/vegetarian can be. Also it's such a great conversation starter!

I love to bring sides, as I am not a big meat cooker (love to eat it, harder to make it for me)
 .

Buttersquash Mash - You can make a ton, is really easy to re-heat it is cozy & easy to eat no matter where you are sitting (sometimes not everyone, in my family gatherings anyways, gets a seat, it is often sitting on the floor or in different rooms, so it has to not be messy!) and for the next day it is delicious when you make "Pancakes" by making them into flat pancakes and covering them in parmesan :)
 .
Cornbread - So delicious, and not something most people have very often. Great with melted butter, and again easy to heat up and serve whenever everyone arrives.

My Parmesan-laden meatball sliders are a hit at any gathering and loved by party goers of all ages.
 .
These are everything a meatball should be – loaded with flavour & melt-in-your-mouth tender. The recipe can be made ahead of time or even doubled so you can freeze some (before adding the sauce) for an even easier batch when you're pressed for time.
 .
The recipe posted on my site suggests serving over spaghetti (naturally), so to serve as a slider, simply shape into 2” diameter balls, smother with a beautiful tomato sauce and bake for 30 minutes. The baked meatballs can be transported hot or chilled and quickly re-heated before serving. Then, simply tuck into a buttery, freshly-baked slider bun. No frills needed, they're that good.
.
This recipe will give you at least 30 slider-sized meatballs and 29 best friends.

I find a lot of crock pot recipes involve the same ingredients and flavours, so discovering this Thai stew was a welcome change for us.  It's also very versatile; we've served it over rice, with naan bread, and even put it in wraps.

My fave recipe is Vegan Eggnog! So many of my friends are vegans nowadays so creating something special for them so that they can indulge in a holiday classic is such a special added touch. You can have this as is or turn it into a cocktail!

I love appetizers that are quick, easy and use really fresh ingredients. Last year I posted the recipes for Bocconcini Bites and Stuffed Dates and they have since become my go-to's for potlucks. They don't take long to whip up and they are delicious.

A huge thanks to all of these ladies for sharing their favourite pot luck go-to's. I love the variety of recipes and am really excited to try them myself!

As for my favourite potluck recipe? I personally love bringing a dessert to a potluck. I love the Cranberry Bliss Bar recipe by Skinny Taste. It's reminiscent of the original bar from Starbucks (before they changed the recipe) and it's a little bit healthier. These bars are always a huuuuge hit. I also love that when you bring a bar or cookies, you can bring as many or as few as you need based on how many people are attending. Do yourself a favour and make these bars regardless of whether or not you're attending a potluck. You won't regret it.
