floor length

{Wearing: Gap maxi dress, Zara bag & Vintage brooches}

I fell in love with this maxi dress when I saw it in Montreal but I almost didn't buy it because of how dressed up I felt when I tried it on. It's the same reason I avoid buying maxi dresses in general, the floor length skirt just feels so formal to me. I think they look amazing on other people and I always love the dresses themselves but as soon as I put it on I am paraoid everyone around me thinks I'm way too overdressed.

This paranoia is coming from a girl who is actually overdressed on a pretty regular basis and posts photos of that on the internet. I am well aware that my thought process makes very little sense.

  16. Is it not hard to walk around in a long dress!
    How about some short shorts to go with a short sleeve
    top. You have very nice legs and it is summer time.

  18. I have that same fear! That certain maxi dresses makes me look over dressed. Probably because I'm short so I wear lots of short dresses. All that fabric makes me feel fancy. <3 this on you and love love love your bag. I, like, have bag envy.
