{Wearing: Lulu*s Dress, Sterling Sandals, Zara Bag, Coach Sunglasses, Barefoot Contessa Necklace}
My mom obviously threw the soap away and all I was left with was the crappy bedroom.
The point of my story is that when you take away the statement necklace from my outfit all you are left with is this crappy dress. Wait, no. Okay I can't exactly remember why I told you this story but it had something to do with the statement necklace changing the look of the dress. Just like the bar of soap... changed the look of the bedroom... The point of the story was that my sister was mean to me when we were kids (sorry Jessica, I lost the point of my story somewhere along the line so you're going to have to take one for the team here).
this story made me laugh hahah. I love that dress!!

Wow Melissa. For someone so bitter about this masterminded feat of trickery, you certainly don't seem to have all the details down. The blue carpeted room had a bigger closet, and a window facing the front of the house (which was important to me at the time, don't ask). I also never described the soap as "awesome"...it was more "Look Melissa, THIS room already has soap in it!" and that was it. You were convinced. I'm pretty sure I could have said "Look, this room already comes with its own bug" and you would have gone for it. So, now, 25 years later... let's just let it go. I won, and you lost. And to make it up to you... if we ever find ourselves in another situation where we're picking closets, I will let you have the bigger one. ;)
ReplyDeletewhile reading this, i totally thought you were going to pick the blue carpet room because you're wearing a blue dress...then bam! the story took a total twist! you had me at bar of soap!
ReplyDeletethat dress is beau-ti-ful!!

The necklace complements the dress beautifully. Gorgeous summer look!
ReplyDeleteWhat trickery! At least you ended up with the pretty blue dress, much better than the blue carpet. Love the dress on you and I am liking the lighter locks, perfect for summer! Thank you for your sweet comment!

Okay, this dress is stunning on you (I already said so on Instagram but I'm saying it again). I love it, and I'm so in love with maxi dresses right now. Perfect for the beautiful sunshine we've been having in Vancouver!

Hahaha! Statement necklaces can elevate your outfit though. I would have never thought the dress was crappy. I still don't. :-)
