Caffeine Free

{Wearing: Club Monaco Blouse, H&M Shorts ($10), Matt & Nat Clutch, Steve Madden Heels, Club Monaco Ring, Fossil Watch}

These photos were taken on Saturday. It was a really great day but most importantly, I was caffeinated. It turns out that caffeine has been the only thing keeping me alive because yesterday I decided to cut caffeine out of my routine for a few weeks and I feel like I've been hit by a ton of bricks. I've either come down with something or I was legitimately reliant on that jolt in the morning because I just feel gross haha. I've been clinging to sugar and coffee to keep me going thanks to a busy schedule so I think my biggest problem is I'm lacking nutrients in my diet haha. I am going to spend the next few weeks getting my health under control (I was even procrastinating getting asthma medication... oops) but since my main problem is finding time to cook, if you have any favourite quick, easy and healthy recipes please pass them along.

Happy Monday! (hahaha I can't say happy Monday with a straight face).

    a bunch of green onions

  7. Eating healthy is so hard when life is busy! I tend to rely on my crockpot when I am busy, because things can cook all day, and then it's just ready when you get home.

    For an easy meal, throw some pork chops in the crock pot, mix up whatever you want for flavor and pour it over the top. (usually soy sauce, worcestershire, teriyaki, add garlic or ginger, etc).

    Then wrap up potatoes in foil and set them on top. Cook on low in the crockpot for 6-8 hours and you are good to go! Chops and baked potatoes are ready when you get home from woek!

  8. Oh my God how I understand you!!! When I'm in the university during school year I always have a ton of energy and now that I'm on break I feel so sluggish and all and I just discovered it's because of the lack of caffeine in my system xD

    I also don't eat that well during school year, because I don't always (ok ok, never!) have time, but some of my favorite meals consist basically of salads or grilled chicken/salmon with rice and veggies =)

  10. i've narrowed myself to one cup of tea a day, for the most part(with maybe a fancy starbucks drink every once and a while). i think i stopped more so because i was spending soo much on coffee! so i challenged myself to make my morning tea at home and keep the $5 in my pocket.
    and a quick and easy healthy thing to last you all week... make a big batch of quinoa and mix it in all kinds of things! i loove quinoa salad. it's a great way to use up all the veggies in your fridge, and the quinoa in it helps you feel more full than just a salad.
    good luck!

  15. Adorable outfit! I love the pink paired with black and white. I stopped drinking caffeine a few years ago and it was a nightmare at first. Eventually, you'll be able to get your pants on forward without it though!

  16. Well you look great! You should try kombucha. it's a naturally fermented tea and it gives you a ton of natural energy. I stopped needing coffee after getting hooked on kombucha :) Try GT Dave's version kombucha- they are the best. I feel all the other brands are fake kombucha.
