Baking and Party Planning

{wearing: Zara Blazer, Pants and shoes, Gap Top}

I am officially into full Holiday mode. This weekend I worked but that didn't stop me from doing some holiday baking. Unfortunately I had a total sugar cookie fail moment when my cookies expanded into one huge sugar cookie with Christmas shaped indents in it. I had much better luck with my batch of gingerbread men. Now I just have to decorate them which I fear will be a moment comparable to the efforts of a kindergarten class.This is why I stick to buying pre-made cookies.

Tonight is my work Christmas party and I need to get back to organizing the final touches. Don't worry, I didn't bake any of the desserts for the event. I did however put together the candy bar because if there is one thing this girl knows it's candy.

  1. mmm candy bars are the best! loved the one at the gap event :)

    i also am LOVING your shoes!!! they are so perfect for fall & winter, although with my luck i would probably slip and fall if there was any trace of ice/snow on the ground. i love the shot of your shirt close up - barely knew those pretty details were there, but an outfit is all in the details, right? :)

    have a lovely monday! xo

  12. I feel like I scream a lot whenever the first picture on your blog loads. Not in an "ah! I'm scared!" kind of way but in a "ah! I need that!" way. This time it was the shoes that did it. And then again for the pants.

  16. I LOVE your shoes! And I think you wear a blazer better than anyone I know, which makes me jealous, because I always feel super frumpy in them! You've also reminded me I need to make some of my own gingerbread men, yours look so cute!
