Grandpa on the Go

*photos taken by Alicia*

{Wearing: Zara sweater (similar in white), Gap Tee, True Value Vintage Jeans, Steve Madden Boots (similar), Vintage Scarf, Marc by Marc Jacob Bag (here)}

*NOTE* Yes my hair is lighter in these photos. These photos and tomorrows photos were taken before my hair was re-darkened.

I'm a sucker for comfy. This over-sized grandpa sweater may now be my favorite piece in my closet. It's just been so cold out lately and anything that is snuggly and warm (like the snuggie I mentioned) just makes me so happy. So on those busy days on the go it's grandpa attire all the way.

  1. Thanks for the link to the $455 sweater? Would you buy that? Or did you just want us to buy it so you can get your cut? Since yours is from Zara and all... I'm so tired of bloggers and their affiliate links. Be the real person we started reading in the beginning.

  2. I found a sweater that is a different color but a similar silhouette that is at a more reasonable price point. Thanks for your feedback. :)

  5. I love the grandpa sweater... elbow patches are too cute. Major kudois for being able to wear just that out though, I've been bundling up in coats for about a month now. I can't handle the cold! :D

    Wow Melissa, you're being much too nice to Anonymous. Anonymous, if you think $455 is too much for a sweater, the solution is simple... Don't buy it!! Your "anoymous" feedback is insulting.

  8. Nice outfit! I absolutely agree on the 'snuggly' part - I wear my big knitted sweaters and cardigans as often as I can.

    And this cardigan is extra lovely with the elbow pads!

  10. Bahahaha, I love the title of this post so much! I also am loving the super dark hair (which is uh, not in this post, but I went back to read previous entries because I had noticed a mix of kind of dark and then much darker hair photos lately!) - it looks so good! xo!

  11. Grandpa and Grandma style are the best. Nothing like a slouchy gramps cardi on a rainy day.

  12. I was going to say cutest grandpa ever - is that a weird comment to make? Oh well if it is - I think you look adorable! LOVE the plaid scarf - so festive!

  13. Haha less grandpa and more chic. I love that this look is casual but you still look so stylish and put-together. You're a blonde naturally yes? It's actually kind of cool that even when you darken, your hair can kind of move through different colours, they've all suited you beautifully so far! Hope your week is off to a good start love, and that I get to see you soon! It's been too long.

  14. I don't think I've told you yet, but I love the dark hair on you! It's so perfect for fall and makes your look more intense. I am also liking the pairing of the oatmeal sweater with the plaid scarf - perfect cozy fall combo!

    Hope you're having a great week Melissa!
