Sleeveless & Hawaiian

Outfit Details:
Trench: F21(buy it here)
Top: Gap
Shorts: Aritzia
Sandals: Sterling
Clutch: Aldo (buy it here)
Necklace: Fine Finds

When I picked up these shorts off the rack at Aritzia it was for two reasons. They were on sale and they were patterned shorts - a new obsession of mine. Sure the pattern resembles a bad Hawaiian shirt but I'd wear them all the time! Right? RIGHT? Strangely I was right. I have worn them a handful of times since buying them but it's mostly because they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever put on. The fabric is super soft and they fit almost like a skirt.

I think they might be close to falling into man-repeller territory as a guy friend made quite the face when I asked him if I should wear my tribal shorts or hawaiian shorts this past weekend. He was also wondering what the point of the sleeveless trench coat was while I was shivering in the freezer section of Costco. Fashion over function, as if I'd be caught dead in Costco wearing sleeves. Men, they just don't understand.

Pinkberry Canada Party

Last night Pinkberry celebrated opening their first Canadian store at The Village at Park Royal in West Vancouver and I had the opportunity to attend the stunning event. Bonnie Dune (whose drummer is the adorable Corey Monteith -- Finn from Glee) played an incredible set for the crowd while we enjoyed champagne and a free sample of the delicious frozen dessert.

A huge thanks to Pinkberry and Lisa Kwong for putting on such a fabulous event. The only downside is that I've been craving coconut frozen yogurt all day today. Actually that isn't a downside... anyone want to take a drive to West Van?

Inspired

For once in my life I am admitting that I have a closet full of clothes I am really excited to wear and yet I'm not wearing them. Isn't that tragic? I take full blame. Well, partial blame. I feel the need to partially blame the renovations going on at my work for taking up so much of my time and also I need to partially blame the Vancouver weather. The rest of the blame can be put on me.

I just haven't felt motivated to take pictures of anything. From this point on I am promising all of you lovely readers that I will be taking the camera out of my purse no matter what to get some outfit photos. Or at least photos of me eating which is all I seem to be doing these days. So thanks for not abandoning me during my time of lazy.

Until then, here are some pictures from my "Inspiration Folder". You might notice that there are a few bloggers that have inspiring the pants off me lately.

Who have you been inspired by this summer? (although in Vancouver, I use the word summer very loosely)
