When I picked up these shorts off the rack at Aritzia it was for two reasons. They were on sale and they were patterned shorts - a new obsession of mine. Sure the pattern resembles a bad Hawaiian shirt but I'd wear them all the time! Right? RIGHT? Strangely I was right. I have worn them a handful of times since buying them but it's mostly because they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever put on. The fabric is super soft and they fit almost like a skirt.
I think they might be close to falling into man-repeller territory as Mike made quite the face when I asked him if I should wear my tribal shorts or hawaiian shorts this past weekend. He was also wondering what the point of the sleeveless trench coat was while I was shivering in the freezer section of Costco. Fashion over function Mike, as if I'd be caught dead in Costco wearing sleeves. Men, they just don't understand.
Hahaha I go to Costco just to make fun of the sleeves-wearing people. I throw giant cans of tomato sauce at them. JUST KIDDING I DON'T DO THAT. But I would wear the eff out of those shorts, too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you styled this outfit Melissa! Very cute shorts. And men? They just don't understand! My boyfriend calls my jeggings my "five year old pants" because they're jeans without pockets and that's what little kids wear. See what I mean??

I got a strange reaction from my mother when talking about sleeveless trenches, too.. she didn't understand how I would wear one, what it's purpose would be, etc! I was like "it's just like a vest mom! you'd wear it how you'd wear a vest!" So funny! You look cute as can be!
