Bad phone call! Bad!

Cardigan: Old Navy
Top: American Eagle
Jeans: True Value Vintage
Scarf: ModCloth
Bag: Winners
Shoes: Banana Republic

I told you I was in love with colour right now! Turns out most of my closet is pretty blah when it comes to colour, so I took the two brightest colours and wore them together. That's how you guys pick your outfits too right?

So, fun story, this morning I woke up in such a good mood. I was bright and shiny Melissa. THEN my cell phone rang. The voice on the other end told me that my car (which is in the shop for "routine maintenance") needs some brake work done that is going to cost me $500. You can't tell see me but right now I'm making a sad face. Lesson learned: Don't answer my cell phone.

I have to go pick up my car now (sad face) but before I leave, I just want to thank all of you who didn't abandon me during my I'm-too-sick-to-post-outfit-pictures hiatus. And to show you my appreciation... here is a biiiiiig kiss!

Don't worry, I'm not contagious anymore. ;)

Fashion`s Night Out Vancouver

Top: Vintage. Pants: Gap. Pumps & Necklace: Banana Republic

Getting ready for Vancouver's Fashion`s Night Out was a two step process. Step 1: Get dressed. Step 2: Take as much cold medicine as possible and drink as much coffee as my body could handle. Who knew a cold could kick your butt for so many days!

Luckily, this event was worth pushing through the last stages of this cold for. Held at Earl`s V Lounge in Yaletown, Fashion`s Night Out was in support of Out in Schools, an amazing organization that raises  awareness about homophobia and bullying.

The fashion show was to present the latest Spring collections from The Bay's White Space. There were some stunning pieces that make me really excited for Spring!

The night was such a success! Niki, Erin, Raul and Ashley did such a great job. It was also really nice to see (and meet) some of my favourite Vancouver bloggers!

If you weren`t able to attend this event, you can still donate to Out in Schools by visiting their website.
