the first step

If you overheard how often Kevin has had to ask me "Melissa, where are your pants?" lately, you'd think I had turned into a nudest. What's actually happening, is that I just keep making the decision to wear shorts or skirts on days where bare legs are not a good idea. Sure, it's sunny out, but it's windy and actually really cold. While he normally wouldn't question what I decide to wear, the problem is that while I'm cold I constantly ask (out loud) "ugggh, why didn't I wear pants???"... Every. Single. Time. I'm not sure where this horrible habit of under dressing and then complaining about it as if I had no control over the situation has come from but I am well aware that I do it.

And the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. It's not fixing the problem right away... so, I don't have to wear pants or anything warm as long as I admit that what I'm doing is a problem... right?

  1. Love that striped blazer! It looks great!

  2. LOL you are too funny. I agree - admitting it is the first step but doesn't mean you have to change right away! Awesome lace shorts - I really want a similar pair .. I think I need to take a trip to H&M like asap! xo

  3. I have the exact same problem! It's sunny and 30 degrees outside, but I'm really tired of wearing tights and boots, so I think it will be ok. Wrong!

  4. I love the lace shorts!!!very chic in this color

  5. I have the same problem. I was wearing bare legs a couple weeks pre-maturely, but whatever, everyone else is just jealous of our bravery. HA. Or...our craziness.
