80's Baby

(yes, it's snowing and I'm not wearing a coat. the things I do for this blog)
 Dress: Vintage (the Vintage Valley)
Coat & Tights: RW&Co
Booties: Urban Outfitters

Thank you to those of you who let me know your thoughts on my style blog/outfit talk dilemma! For those of you who didn't comment? You're all grounded.

This weekend I got to celebrate one of my dearest friends 29th birthday. Her birthday is early in the year so it's always a reminder that my birthday is on the way (and a reminder of the age I'll be turning. eek!). I'm one of the rare women who doesn't panic at the thought of getting older but as I get closer to 30, I wonder if I'll be changing my tune when I officially leave my "20's".

I thought it would only be appropriate to wear this vintage 80's dress to the birthday celebration of an 80's baby.

If only I had accessorized with a Jem and the Holograms lunch box. Why do I always think of these things after?

  1. That's a fantastic color on you! And look at you braving the cold with no coat in the name of fashion - you're braver than I am!

  3. I love how fun, funky and free '80s fashion is. I'm heavily influenced by the decade in my style, though I didn't realize it until people started saying such in comments!

And I love getting older. I love feeling more independent, discovering things about myself, and continuing to develop my look.

Anyway, you look so cute for being cold. Props!

  6. I love this colour on you! And just going back to your question in your previous post... as someone who knows little to nothing about fashion, I quite enjoy pictures of the outfit, I dont think an explanation is required ;)

  10. Pure completely adorable! Love that dress and I can't believe it's vintage. Your cold tolerance must be unbelievably higher than mine. And I like that you talk about life things. I do too. It's kinda my record of what went down and how I felt. Like consolodating a journal and blog. I always did love double tasking.

  12. You can't see me, but I'm making a poutface at the thought of being grounded. :(

What a great find of a vintage dress. The blue hues are pretty on-trend with the watercolour print motif that's been happening for the past few seasons. What goes around comes around in fashion, eh?

  14. Yeah JEM! Where has she been? And you look ultra modern in this outfit I think! Must be the all-black on the bottom and that fab coat.

  16. I'm really loving the retro look but I have a hand for all things vintage.

You look great and so does your outfit.
