On the Catwalk for Charity

"On a warm sunny day in May 2008, four-year-old Alexa Middelaer was standing on a Ladner roadside feeding a favourite neighbourhood horse when she was struck and killed by an impaired driver"

After reading that, I was even happier that I agreed to be apart of last nights fashion show at The Urban Rack in support of Alexa's Bus, a project hoping to save lives and reduce injuries caused by impaired driving through education and enforcement.

You can learn more about Alexa's Bus here, and if you're interested in donating you can do so here.

I was lucky enough to be involved with an event that allowed me to do two of my favourite things at the same time. Shop and donate to an amazing cause. I was also able to dabble in something I have neeever done before, runway modeling! As a 5'5" curvy clumsy girl, I never thought I'd see the day where I strutted down a runway but it was SO much fun. Everyone watching was so friendly and supportive that it really just felt like modeling outfits for a (large) group of friends.

This dress was my favourite of my 5 looks! I have to admit I'm nervous to see the "professional" photos from the event. My overly expressive face is not meant for candid pictures haha!

Thank you so much Jen for including me in this amazing event. Is it too early to RSVP for next years show?
