I am also majorly in need of a new winter coat, and have my eye on two Soia & Kyo ones that are incredibly warm and cozy, but also about $400 which makes my heart & bank account hurt a little bit. But you are so right, we wear winter coats probably more than any other item in our wardrobes, so maybe the cost per wear justifies it... ;)Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16217002763887009755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-55057273746089355142011-11-03T16:41:00.994-07:002011-11-03T16:41:00.994-07:002 & 3 are awesome & would look super cute ...2 & 3 are awesome & would look super cute on you!

Annie
The Other Side of GrayAnniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15728727288555148412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-7484692110266345602011-11-03T12:29:05.521-07:002011-11-03T12:29:05.521-07:00I love #1 and #4! I bought a beautiful red wool coat there for $125 and it lasted me for 3 years of daily (winter) wear. Last year I bought a Mackage coat-I DID get it at the Dakota sample sale for 50% off, but I'm disappointed. I love it, but it's already showing signs of wear after 1 winter. And I love Mackage! My leather jacket has lasted me for 3 or 4 years now with NO sign of wear.

I have heard good things about JCrew coats-the quality is good and the colours are beautiful. Plus some you can get with a Thinsulate lining that's supposed to be extra warm.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12677568729317848883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-85897153999119611012011-11-03T01:30:15.338-07:002011-11-03T01:30:15.338-07:00Ooh, I love #2. I find that the toggles on 1 and 4 make it a bit more casual, and while I'm a big fan of a nice cape I find I get too chilly in the winter in one. Though I do live in Saskatchewan- in Vancouver you could likely get away with it!

Love your blog, and I'm sure you'll look stunning in whichever you choose!Melissa Madsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08617384288832504016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-33591992446253851282011-11-02T16:43:26.528-07:002011-11-02T16:43:26.528-07:00I found a beautiful Tara Jarmon coat at the end of...I found a beautiful Tara Jarmon coat at the end of last winter, so I am already looking forward to wearing it again.

You've picked some pretty coats - any idea which one will end up in your closet yet? Now that I've moved to Victoria, investing in a great winter coat seems like less of a priority (although there's a gorgeous Wilfred one that I could like to add to my collection). Hunter boots seem like something more worth spending money on...

Any suggestions as to where to buy a great raincoat? I've never owned one in my life and now I just find myself very wet and cold in the rain.

xx
S

http://aussi-belle.blogspot.comSamantha Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01369678322966827279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-25028340840703490502011-11-02T16:17:36.529-07:002011-11-02T16:17:36.529-07:00Hi Melissa, great selection of coats! Then I discovered that waterproofness is very important! But maybe that's just me, since I have to stand outside on recess duty and things like that... I still have grey and red pea coats but last year added a super comfy, cute and waterproof lululemon jacket to my collection!
xo, allie
accordingtoallieblog.blogspot.comalliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03335856322995088540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8888156679451319248.post-84453567252597519262011-11-02T14:26:46.827-07:002011-11-02T14:26:46.827-07:00#2 is very au courrant. #3 is practical.
