I don't know where along the line I got into my head that I was handy with a pair of scissors and a needle and thread, but thanks to my disillusions I have failed at far too many 'do it yourself' tailoring attempts. I can barely cut a straight line let alone properly hem something by hand. Unfortunately I have a fear of taking things to the Tailor so I had kind of come to terms with the fact that I'd never be a girl who could re-work vintage pieces or make my clothes fit perfectly with a nip or a tuck.
That is until Kelsey of The Anthology asked me what my fashion resolution was for the New Year.
What a perfect opportunity to put down my scissors and stop the hemming madness.
