Happy New Year!

1.01.2011

Since last night I stayed in my pj's until the last possible moment before going out, I didn't get any New Years Eve outfit photos. Blogger fail. Luckily I'm too madly in love with this top to not take pictures of it so I threw the outfit back on this morning. The only problem is that now you have to see my disastrous post-NYE day 2 hair and my post-NYE bags under my eyes.

Top: Club Monaco
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Banana Republic

Clutch: Plum

Btw, I actually wore a brighter fuchsia lipstick last night but I've already lost it. Dang it.

So my NYE didn't exactly go as planned but isn't that the way life goes sometimes? I guess it goes back to what I said about expectations. You can't always control a series of events but you can do your best to get through them with a smile.

I hope everyone else had a great night last night and that there haven't been too many new years resolutions broken yet. I didn't even make any resolutions and I'm pretty sure I broke a couple between midnight and right now. I think I should make my NY resolution "to have a nap every day". Now that would be one that I could keep!

Oh, I wish my hair looked like that on Day 2! Haha! You look great, Melissa. That top is gorgeous - I wish I could raid your closet, although I'm pretty sure your clothes would be too tiny for me! That clutch is really pretty too.

Hahaha, do you have any idea how many of my photos are taken the next day?? I am terrible at getting photos while I'm actually dressed up, so I have to drag myself off the couch, out of my pjs, and into my outfit from the night before, with, like you said, 2nd day hair & bags under the eyes! That all said, you look great, I love this outfit!! Very cute! Happy new year, lady!

I didn't take NYE outfit pics either...I was running late and I had reservations for dinner and blah, blah, blah!!! You looked great and pretty top.

Pfft I can't believe you're complaining about second day hair and bags under your eyes--you look adorable! The top is amazing. And if you want to share what you look like with fuchsia lipstick, you should link to the photo you tweeted out.

How is it even possible that you still look good on the second day? I had work early in the morning today, went to work in the same unwashed hair from last night, then my coworkers even said "what the hell did you do last night?" Haha. MY situation was bad.

Love those BR shoes! Are they nude? I'm obsessing over nude shoes right now, but it's hard to find the perfect colour!

New years resolutions are MADE to be broken. Just kidding. I'm actually trying this year. I kind of failed, as expected, but I'm trying!

I wish my hair had looked that good the next day. I woke up looking like a mess haha! You're outfit is so cute. I love the top and the purse.
