I can't shake this feeling I have that something isn't right. I don't feel like myself at all. I keep trying to tell myself that it's the gloomy weather but for how long is that excuse valid?
I feel flustered and forgetful. Negative and whiny. Tired and disorganized.
I'm going to go for a jog (and I use that term loosely, it'll probably be 90% walking with a few minutes of jogging thrown in) tonight and hope the endorphins help me get over whatever the heck is wrong with me!
I think I've finally come to terms with the fact that I have to be more active in the winter to keep from falling into a slump. I personally prefer the summer when I'm not hibernating like a lazy bum most of the time.
PS. Ready to be motivated by all of your favourite bloggers? Starting Monday you'll get to hear what a whole bunch of fabulous ladies have to say about their health and fitness routines.

Aw, hon, I think a lot of people feel like that during the winter. It's the cold, sometimes gloomy weather. Some good exercise with endorphins should help, so that's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd it should also help that you are looking absolutely adorable! I hope that helps, anyway...
I can only imagine how down I'd feel with all the wintery weather some people have to deal with! On a positive note, you're so fashionista as always!! :)
ReplyDeleteyes the Winter can be very blah - we're not getting enough sunshine. You still look fabulous though! That vintage blazer caught my eye right away and I scrolled down to see where you got it from - then was disappointed that I can't get one for myself :( Oh well!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO! You wore the necklace!! Now it can be added to your future pile of stuff to sell/give away... hehe But I have to say, it does look pretty good. ;) (Oh yeah, you look nice too. :p)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Monday's post :)
ReplyDeleteI love when normal people post health/fitness stuff because it's more... "If I can do this, so can you" and not "I'm a pro athlete. I spent 8 hours a day working out. What do you do? Oh you sit at a desk? You're doomed to be out of shape FOR EVER!!!!"
Which makes me happy. I like normal people haha.
Your sister picked our a really pretty necklace for you.
ReplyDeleteYou're in the winter slump too? Winter is a love/hate relationship =\ But not to worry, Spring is almost here!!!
Just Better Together is having a giveaway!
I feel the same way lady! But I started exercising regularly and its true what they say - I feel sooo much better. & happier! So I hope fitness gets you out of the January slump :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Can't wait for Monday's feature!

I feel the SAME way! I've been cutting out a lot of exercise since I'll just look outside and decide I don't want to leave the house because of the weather.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to join your plans of up-ing the exercise since I'm also in a slump. I feel sluggish, wake up tired, and in a "let's not but say we did" relationship with activity.
Worst thing about this is a work at a yoga studio haha.
Here is to hoping we quickly get out of this slump!

I hope you shake our funk off soon. You look cute though so relish in that. I understand the gloomy weather bringing you down though. I use it as an excuse during these months too.

ReplyDeleteMaybe you just need to be inspired? And have fun on your run - if this motivates you whatsoever, I went for two runs today, one in the morning (5km) and another when I got home from work (13km) - If you're starting out I would recommend couch to 5k, I initially started running based on this and after that would use map my run to figure out what distances :)

ReplyDeleteI love that outfit and am still lusting for Hunter boots (with all of the precipitation Whistler gets it just makes sense, right?).
ReplyDeleteAnd I was starting to feel the same way as you until I hit up Whistler for a day of skiing in the sun and it totally changed everything. Hopefully a little Vitamin D, sunlight, fresh air and exercise will do the trick. It seems to work for me most of the time!
