If you follow me on twitter then you might have heard (and if you know me in real life then you for sure have heard) that my fall last Saturday actually resulted in a separated shoulder. Luckily it's the mildest of all separated shoulders but it's still been pretty painful. I also didn't find out the extent of my injury until Thursday so I've been using my arm and flailing it around like a mad woman since my fall and I'm sure I made it a lot worse.
Not using my right arm when I am right handed has proven to be quite the feat. It's especially impossible when I'm at work so I've had to wear a sling* to prevent myself from instinctively going to use my arm.
The worst part? The inability to use my right arm meant I would have no way to style my hair before Mike's Christmas party last night. (Okay, so that's not the worst thing but at the time it felt like quite the dilemma). Luckily I know a very talented hair stylist that works close to Mike's place so I was able to make an appointment for a wash, dry and style. Also luckily my hair holds curl really well because my day 2 hair (as seen in these photos) is still pretty decent.
The Christmas party last night was such a good time. The company Mike works for goes all out every year resulting in delicious food, amazing prizes, and lots of drinks with such a fun group of people.
My favourite moment of the night was the result of a misunderstanding while Mike and I were talking to one of his coworkers thanks to a couple glasses of wine and loud music.
Mike's Coworker: Are you two living together?
Me: I won't fit in his place, I have too many shoes.
Mike: What do you mean? You don't have that many issues.
*Awkward silence*
Me: Shoes Mike... Shoes. Not issues. I guess I won't fit in his place because I have too many issues and shoes haha..
Hahaha amazing.
I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!
*note: I wasn't wearing the sling in these photos because I was on my way to the Chiropractor for some tuning up. The good news is that it looks like my shoulder is getting better! woot!
