Snow Day

Sweater: H&M. Jeans: Old Navy. Boots: Aldo. Scarf: Le Chateau. Gloves: The Bay. Earrings: Vintage.

Lately I've been noticing that when I go to figure out what to wear for the day I think "what should I wear?" instead of "what do I want to wear?"  I try to base my outfits around what I think other people want to see as opposed to what I actually want to wear.

Reading fashion blogs is always enjoyable but sometimes instead of being inspired  by other bloggers I just wish I could look like them or dress like them. I have to remember that all of us women are so different in so many ways and I can't compare myself.

So maybe not every outfit I want to wear will inspire all of my readers but maybe the occasional outfit will. And if it's what I want to wear then at least it's a reflection of me as opposed to an outfit based on what I think I should wear which is just a reflection of the pressures I put on myself.

So today, on a random Thursday where I did nothing but laundry I decided  I wanted to wear sequins.

Which made me happy, but obviously didn't impress my puppy enough to make her forget the fact that the snow was too high for her to run around and play in.
