Has anyone else ever reviewed their outfit photos only to realize they didn't smile in a single one? No one? Just me? Shucks. It's happened to me many times. I call it being "photo focused".
My theory is, on those days where I have a limited amount of time to take my pictures I'm too photo focused to move my face.
After these pictures were taken I had to rush to finish setting up for my work Christmas party.
Even though I look super excited and happy in these pictures (note: sarcasm) I was pretty stressed. Throwing a Christmas party for over 80+ people with ages varying from 14-50 has proven to be quite the task. Obviously there is no drinking which you need to take into consideration when planning entertainment. Luckily my team pulled together and the night was a huge success.
A delicious dinner, a marble slab ice cream bar and a candy bar, a Nintendo Wii gaming area on a huge screen, a visit from Santa, music by the amazing DJ Marvel and a photo booth turned out to be the perfect combination. The dance floor was packed all night and the photo booth was a blast.
Although next year I will do 2 things differently.
1) I won't fall really hard on some ice in a parking lot and land on my arm two days before the party.
2) I will take 2 weeks off after the party to sleep. Just sleep.

That happens to me sometimes too! I'm like... 'man, I don't remember being that unhappy.' Haha! You still look great though, and I love this outfit! That dress is so pretty and I love the all black accesories.
ReplyDeleteThe party sounds so fun - I want to go to a party with a candy bar and a photobooth...

Haha such a random group of people in that picture! It's super cute tho. :)
ReplyDeletehahaha, I have definitely done that. And by the point I'm done, I've spent so much time trying to get a good shot that I don't want to take any more... which makes me smile even less, haha...
ReplyDeleteThe photo booth looks like a lot of fun though!!! Such funky props =]
Great dress. The party sounds like so much fun. I think everyone needs days off after work parties :)
ReplyDeletethat sounds like the best party ever! My work parties aren't that much fun...and I can say that because I plan them...but we are hardly given any budget and can't have them off the grounds of our organization so our options are really limited...
ReplyDeleteThis is a great dress on you! I love the way you've styled it -- so easy and relaxed but chic!
ReplyDeleteLove your dress! It's so pretty! I have to smile in most of my pictures, as my not smiling face is horrid. I generally look like I'm drooling or sleeping or some such thing when I don't smile in photos, so when I get a non-smiling one that doesn't make me CRINGE, I generally post it just to mix things up a little! Ha! Glad the party was a success!
ReplyDeleteLove the photobooth pictures. They are adorable! - Katy
ReplyDeleteSleep, that elusive concept...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your fall! I really hope your arm is feeling better after a few days of rest.
Your dress is fantastic! So super cute and I love it with the tights and heels. You look great!
I'm loving your dress!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I crop my head out before I post pictures lol I make way too many weird faces. I think your pictures still look great!
Cute photobooth photos :)
