And the Award Goes To...

The lovely Lilly from A Pre-Life Crisis was generous enough to give me the Stylish blogger award.
It requires that I tell you 7 things about myself but since I've already revealed my ability to stand on my head for a really long time in a past post, I thought I'd switch up the rules a bit.

In the spirit of the new year I thought I'd share with you 7 things that I did in 2010 that I had never ever done before. Ever. Some of them are fashion related, some involve caged animals and some of them are so small it's shocking that I hadn't done them before this year. Here is a sneak peek into the year that was 2010.

1. Miss-Melissa.com turned into a Style Blog
Yah, true story. Before May my blog was just a mess of personal ramblings. Now it's a mess of personal ramblings with pictures of outfits. So much better right?

2. I remixed the same 30 items of clothing for 30 days. All while not shopping.
Thanks to a challenge from Kendi, my cousin and I (as well as like a zillion other bloggers) set off to do the impossible. Turns out it's not impossible just kind of a pain but I definitely learned a lot from those 30 days! But the hardest part was taking a picture every day. I don't know how some of you bloggers do that!

3. I wore red lipstick
How did I not do this sooner you ask? Who knows. Let's just focus on the fact that it happened and I love it shall we?

4. I styled a store front window display
Barefoot Contessa doesn't know it yet, but I've appointed myself their official window display stylist. Such a fun day!

5. I became friends with a Monkey
Cute little George was making kissing faces at me. We were in love.

6. I attended a Fashion Show
On top of seeing some gorgeous pieces of clothing, I also met some of my favourite local bloggers that night.

7. I attended an Olympic Event.
I didn't get to see Canada curl but I was still cheering for them. Which confused a lot of people around me.

So there you have it! 7 moments from 2010 that were firsts but definitely not lasts. Well except for maybe the Olympic event... that probably won't happen ever again. Or the making friends with a monkey. Or the no shopping... there is a better chance I will compete in the Olympics on a team of monkeys then there is that I will go on another shopping ban. Hey, I'm just being honest.
