When Pigeons Attack

Okay so maybe they didn’t attack but they definitely invaded my space. Or was I invading their space? Hmmm. Regardless I spent most of the photo shoot chasing them away because Mike  I was scared of them. ;)

I bought this vintage blazer a while ago and then decided it didn’t fit as well as I would have wanted so to the back of the closet it went… and not the closet I use, my spare closet which is mostly just storage. The items of clothing that go in there don’t always come out.

I had almost forgotten about it until I saw Fergie wearing a gorgeous Cranberry blazer on the cover of Glamour. I sighed with jealousy before remembering my abandoned vintage blazer.

Finding it in the back of my storage closet was a glorious moment... probably made even more glorious by the fact that it felt like a new blazer during my shopping ban. When I put it on I decided that it didn’t matter if it didn’t fit like a glove, it was vintage and I love the colour.
After looking at these pictures I changed my mind. It does matter to me if something doesn't fit right.

Maybe it’s something I need to learn to get over or maybe it’s a sign that I need to finally go to a tailor . Either way, I’ve lost the giddy excitement I felt over re-discovering this blazer. Which is a shame because it really is a gorgeous colour.
