Leather and Bows

I have tragic news. Someone broke into my house, went into my closet, stole all of the nice clothing and replaced them with mismatched and ill fitting pieces. Okay... so that obviously didn't happen but that's how I felt when I stood in front of my closet and attempted to find something to wear. Okay that didn't happen either. That's actually how I felt when I stood in front of the huge pile of clothes on the floor and attempted to find something to wear.

I really just wanted to be comfortable so plan A was to grab some sweat pants and call it a day. Plan B was to throw on an over sized dress, bow tights and then pile as much stuff on top of it as possible to hide the fact that I was wearing a burgundy potato sac. I went with plan B.
Leather Jacket: Garage. Dress: Urban Outfitters. Scarf: Le Chateau. Brooch: Etsy. Tights: ModCloth. Pumps: Aldo.

Today was my last day at work before I have a week off. I obviously didn't spread out my holidays very well throughout the year because I feel like I've been announcing my weeks off on a monthly basis. I swear I do actually work a full time job. And sometimes I even work hard...

It's day 4 of the shopping ban and I'm happy to report I haven't had any moments of panic yet. It's a little unfortunate that I can't do any shopping during my holidays but that just means I can start my Christmas shopping. I can't wait to walk around downtown with a red Starbucks Christmas cup in hand. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

  3. I feel like someone broke into my house and just belligerently threw the contents of my closets all over my room.

Proud of your 4 days of success! I was trying to talk myself into buying boots today right after cashing a sales bonus check from work.

Starting the holiday shopping sounds like a good idea though!

  4. Well it's a very nice potato sack :P I think it's the leather jacket that instantly makes everything awesome. And those tights are very pretty also =]

  5. I can't believe you pulled this together from your floor pile! The color of the dress is perfect and the contract of the bow tights and leather jacket is stellar. Love it!

  6. When I first started ready I literally almost had a panic attack for you!! But now I know you're just a normal girl like the rest of us with "I have nothing to wear" problems too :)

I'm good with the No-Shopping. Although, like you said, only through day 4. Fingers crossed it keeps up though!

    Happy Friday

  9. You must be looking in a weird mirror or something, because, you look pretty darn good. I think those tights look great with the dress, but absolutely perfect with the leather jacket.
