Back to work tomorrow..

I spent most of my week off at Mike's. Depending on traffic the drive to his place can be any where from 45mins- 1hr 1/2 so any time I am going to his place for a day or two (let alone a week) and I don't know what we will be doing I have the hardest time packing. It's not like I can run home and grab something I've forgotten and I tend to have the "what if?" mentality. What if we go to a nice dinner? What if we go to the beach? Top that off with gym clothes and I feel like I'm packing for a month away.

Last night we decided we wanted to go out but had no idea what we wanted to do. Would we end up somewhere dressy? casual? Indoors? Outdoors? All I knew was that it was still hot out and that we were going to walk there.


I decided on my flat black sandals that I can walk hours in and then just a casual black shorts and tank combo. Just in case we went somewhere on the dressier side I wore my lace top which I love.

Sandals: Payless. Shorts: Old Navy. Tank: Smart Set. Lace Top: American Apparel.

We ended up getting lattes and walking around Coal Harbour for a couple hours and talking. Maybe it's my old age but I much prefer nights like this to nights at the club. Should I be admitting that?

Today was just spent relaxing and enjoying the sun.

  2. You can never go wrong with all black, especially with the lacy feminine touch. And I'm only 22 and prefer nights like that opposed to clubs, so don't worry!

  3. You just wrote about the story of my life! When my boyfriend and I were living together (right now he's across the country going to culinary school) I would always be packing for the week. I'd go home to my parent's house once a week to refresh my clothes. We couldn't fit both our wardrobes in our place, so I was constantly only working with 20% of my clothes. So frustrating having to constantly switch out.

    Anyways.... I love that dress! I prefer simple dinners out as well.

    And I'm not a club person either. I havn't been at all this year! I much prefer low key, relaxing evenings :)
