While trying to put together outfits with all of my clothes as opposed to just my 30 items I came to a disturbing conclusion.
.
It was much easier putting together outfits when my choices were limited.
.
I kept grabbing items, trying them on, coming up with a reason why I didn't want to wear it and putting them back in the closet (okay, who am I kidding... I threw them on the floor).
.
I have an odd body shape and I have this habit of buying clothes that don't fit perfectly just because I love it otherwise, assuming that I'll wear it anyways.
.
After determining what was "wrong" with each item I had to decide: Is it fixable? Or do I get rid of it? Hardest decisions ever.
.
It was perfect to wear for dinner along the beach.
.
I am oddly excited to fix the other items in my closet that I've been staring at but unwilling to wear for quite some time now. I bought them because I loved something about them and since most of them just require hemming they'll be ready to wear in no time! Hurray!

I feel the same way! Summer is slipping away before our eyes! Love that skirt.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you say oddly excited at the idea of getting them altered to fit the way you want? That IS exciting! I recently had a bunch of things tailored because they were too big - it's awesome! Almost like a full-on shopping trip!
